RTS receives a generous ‘Thank You’ (again)
Another happy client sent us a letter of thanks recently. A few months ago the St. John nursing home in Kent asked us to provide a new Audio Visual system and wireless networking infrastructure in order to improve the entertainment and communications provision for the residents.
Mrs J Mitchell, the matron, kindly wrote to us with feedback from the home.
“I wanted to say how very impressed I and my staff were with the way you and your staff conducted yourselves whilst working in the Home. Often it’s difficult to get people coming into the Home to appreciate that this is a Home and not an institution, and this seems to affect the quality of the work done and the care taken doing it.”
We always try to be considerate of our clients so the team was very happy to hear this. We are also considerate of our clients’ environments – much of the success of our solutions is owed to the care taken to fit the equipment with the surroundings.
“I am delighted with the way the installation of the TV and wireless connection has been done and the careful attention that you all gave to hiding all the wires etc away from view.”
Thank you Mrs Mitchell for your kind words, it’s always great to hear that our clients are enjoying their solutions.
The letter is duplicated below with the kind permission of Mrs Mitchell.
RTS become NETGEAR PowerShift partners
NETGEAR make great networking equipment, which is why we often choose their kit for our solutions – it not only performs but is also cost-effective.
Our new partnership helps us stay up to date with all the developments in tools and technology at NETGEAR. The resources and training available to us mean that our staff members are more able to support solutions featuring NETGEAR technology. In addition, we are able to receive additional partner discounts and promotions as well as place special bids, offering us greater pricing flexibility.

RTS has their cake…
This week RTS says a fond farewell to Steve who leaves us for a higher calling at Church Central. Steve has been our finance administrator for the past year in which time he has helped move RTS forward leaps and bounds, transitioning us to our brand new accounting platform. Steve has now handed the reins to Natalie who has picked up all of his previous responsibilities.
Steve presented us with a fine cake on his departure. We are pleased to report large smiles all round. A special RTS thank you is extended to Steve’s wonderful wife, Danielle for lending her baking skills to help create this culinary delight.
We wish Steve all the best in his new role and welcome Natalie to RTS.
See below for a picture of the baking masterpiece.
RTS receives a generous `Thank You`
We always appreciate feedback from our clients, it’s important to hear what we’re doing right and where improvements can be made. Occasionally we receive letters of thanks from clients who are particularly happy with our work. One such letter arrived last week.
During the summer we helped Quinton Church Primary School advance their network infrastructure. We performed a migration of their legacy curriculum server to brand new hardware, installed new switches and rolled out a wireless network to cover the entire school, allowing their mobile IT suites to be used anywhere.
Mark Mitchell the Deputy Head Teacher was kind enough to provide some feedback, highlighting our ‘professional attitude’ and ‘flexibility’, including:
“The work was all completed in the timeframe you had specified and the quality of the work is of the highest standard”
“I wanted to express my appreciation and would be glad to recommend all of your services to any future clients of yours”
Our focus on improving education meant that we were particularly pleased to hear that our technology solution “is having a really positive impact on the children’s learning”.
Thank you Mr Mitchell!

RTS helps Sports Cafe to show England vs. Ukraine International

Following the demise of broadcaster Setanta, the England vs. Ukraine match will be the first England international game for two decades not to be aired on TV. Instead, internet users are expected to pay a £4.99 subscription to stream the game over the internet.
The Sports Cafe, Birmingham has a reputation to uphold in delivering the best in big screen sports events from around the world. With their entire audio visual installation configured for receiving sport via broadcast media, The Sports Cafe needed to find a way to reliably stream the game to numerous screens around the venue.
RTS are providing all implementation services and will be using multiple internet providers to try and mitigate against the expected bottleneck of UK broadband (http://is.gd/48ZGK). We’ll also be on-site for the duration of the game, providing as much technical support as required to keep the feed alive and punters happy.
Launch of the newly-rebranded RTS Technology Solutions
We are very proud to announce the launch of the newly-rebranded RTS Technology Solutions. The team at IE Design, a Birmingham-based design consultancy, have helped us produce a wonderful new persona for the company which we feel more accurately conveys the nature and intent of the business. Not only do we have a new corporate identity, but as you can see our website has had a sprucing, too. A special thank you to Mr. Tom Haskell for all of his hard work in helping us reach this important milestone.
The new responsetech.co.uk has been designed from the ground up to make getting to know us that little bit easier. Information about all our main services in conveniently located in the Our Services tab and if you want to know a little more about each of the RTS team members head over to the Who We Are page.

We’re always keen to receive suggestions and feedback. If you would like to get in touch please use the details on the Contact Us tab.
We look forward to hearing from you.

This past year has seen a steady increase in the number of our clients who are located in ‘the South’.
With the backing of our investors, we’re chuffed to announce that we have a new office in the capital and are now better positioned than ever to support our southern clients.
Here is the new address and phone number for your records. We have updated the ‘Contact us’ section of the site accordingly.

RTS secures additional investment
We’ve been incredibly lucky during this difficult time to find a group of people who believe enough in our performance, plans and aspirations for the business to provide us with additional investment in order to expand.
We hope to have some exciting announcements to make in the coming weeks and months. Watch this space.
We’re off to BETT!

We have visited the BETT (British Education and Training Technology) show several times, and have always been impressed by the quality and variety of educational technology on offer. Our notebooks usually take a hammering under the weight of ideas.
Where once we were simply visitors, this year’s show sees us exhibiting for the first time. We have secured a prime spot (W45, on the west of the first floor) and are working double time to produce a fantastic offering.
Previously research and idea generation were the focus of our visits. However, our technology solutions have developed to such an extent that we want to tell more people about them. As BETT is the largest show of its kind in the world we could think of no better platform.
Not only will RTS staff be present, but we are lucky enough to be taking with us several friends from a selection of suppliers. They are all experts in their respective technical fields and will be on hand to help answer any questions you may have.
If you’re heading to BETT we would love it if you popped by and said hello. As an added incentive, we’re planning to have a few treats on-stand for our visitors.
See you there, January 13-16th.
RTS is moving (don’t worry, it’s only round the corner)
Moving is always exciting. An opportunity for a complete clear out, taking in new surroundings and renewing focus. After a year in Kings Heath we were starting to outgrow our office.
What it meant, though, was that we needed to find new premises to house the RTS team. After an extensive search of Birmingham we settled on a lovely location just outside Solihull (we could be wrong but the air seems a little fresher out here).
The infrastructure is superb so the move won’t affect our ability to support our clients.
In case you need to update your records, our new address is as follows:
Central Boulevard
Blythe Valley Business Park
Solihull
West Midlands
B90 8AG
While we were at it we also updated our phone number:
